How to prepare your family for a photoshoot

Booking the photographer feels like the main job but really, there is a lot more that can be done to ensure that the photos capture your family at their best and are photos you’ll look back on with pride and gratitude.

So what is the best to wear:

The main thing is to be comfortable. A family photoshoot should be a relaxed and happy event. Wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable will help you to ease into the shoot.

I would suggest a semi-casual look. I tell people that they can think about what they would wear to an afternoon at the theatre. Nothing too dressy, but something they take pride in wearing. Outfits that make them feel beautiful. I want to see them looking like the best versions of themselves.

Brighten your winter!

Hello everybody! How’s your weekend? Mine was great, I took quite a lot of photos for my blog. I had to get out and take some photos. I woke up 6am Saturday morning to get ready and rushed out to Southern Cross station. CBD gets really crowded here everyday, and would be difficult to do a shoot after 11am.

Initially we've planned this photo shoot to be indoor in one of the cozy beautiful cafes in the CBD area as knowing much about Melbourne weather. Picked colours for the shoot yellow and orange to add brightness and vibrancy to the winter. The weather turned to be really good and we just enjoyed strolling around some city locations. Making me fall in love with Melbourne more and more. We found so many yellow and orange signs, contractions and items to match to the knitted sweaters. Oksana did an amazing job and I absolutely loved working with her. Check her instagram: @ksushabenzi

Please contact me if you want to cooperate in "Brighten your winter" project!
